Management

Mark Gresser, MBA

President & CEO, Member of the Board

Before joining Wildcat Discovery Technologies in 2008, Mr. Gresser held global leadership positions at Material Sciences Corporation, Honeywell, and AlliedSignal, and has over twenty-two years of experience in general management, materials development, sales, marketing, and engineering. Mr. Gresser holds a BSE in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.


 

Steven Kaye, Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Officer

Prior to joining Wildcat Discovery Technologies in 2007, Dr. Steven Kaye obtained his Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley under the supervision of Prof. Jeffrey R. Long. His research focused on the design and synthesis of new microporous coordination solids for applications in gas storage, gas separation, and as microporous magnets.


 

Jon Jacobs, MBA
Vice President - Business Development

Jon Jacobs joined Wildcat Discovery Technologies in 2009. Previously, Mr. Jacobs held numerous engineering positions at General Motors and Ford Motor Company before working at Material Sciences Corporation as Global Director of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Jacobs holds a BSE in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He also recieved a Masters degree in engineering from Purdue University.


 

Mark Bailey, Ph.D.
Scientific Group Leader - Synthesis and New Projects

Dr. Mark Bailey joined Wildcat Discovery Technologies from Argonne National Laboratory where he held the Glenn Seaborg Postdoctoral Fellowship. Prior to this appointment, he obtained his doctorate in solid state chemistry from Cornell University under the guidance of Prof. Frank DiSalvo. He has extensive training in the synthesis and characterization of new solid state materials.


 

Ken Micklash
Chief Engineer

Ken Micklash joined Wildcat Discovery Technologies at its inception in 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Micklash held multiple positions at GNF and Saturn as well as time spent as an independent manufacturing consultant. Mr. Micklash has 15 years of experience designing and developing engineering systems ranging from high throughput automation to automotive powertrain components. He received a BSME from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a Masters degree in engineering from Purdue University.


 

Ross Russo
Business Development Manager

Ross Russo joined Wildcat Discovery Technologies at its inception in 2006 as Manager of Operations. Prior to joining Wildcat, Mr. Russo held positions as a chemist at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation and in the financial industry. Mr. Russo has a Masters degree in Chemistry as well as a BA in Economics and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego.
