Wildcat Selected for LMFP DOE Grant

To support Wildcat’s plans to manufacture a portfolio of cathode materials in the US, we have been selected for a $4 million grant by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to advance the commercialization of Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate (LMFP).

The project will explore LMFP cathodes with various dopants, carbon coatings, particle sizes, and morphologies that aim to balance power and lifetime requirements against an energy density goal that’s 20% greater than Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP).
