Wildcat Discovery Technologies is pleased to announce the expansion of its Battery Development Center—now 65,000 sq. ft.—and the enhancement of its R&D offerings that address critical needs across the battery development lifecycle.
For over 15 years, Wildcat has helped accelerate innovation by leveraging its proprietary high-throughput R&D platform, enabling the rapid design, synthesis, and testing of hundreds of materials per week. With more than 300 completed R&D programs for over 100 global partners, we’ve supported groundbreaking work across material suppliers, cell makers, OEMs, and government agencies.
Today, we’re proud to build on this foundation by introducing new project modalities that bring greater depth and flexibility to our collaborations:
- 🔍 Precursor Material Validation: We can now validate and qualify precursor materials critical for cathode active material synthesis—enabling deeper upstream analysis for a diversified supply chain.
- 🧪 Electrode Coating Capabilities: Expanded coating capabilities support scale-relevant material evaluations and design iterations.
- 🔋 Pouch Cell Validation: High-throughput results can now be confirmed in pouch cells up to 20 Ah—bridging the gap between lab-scale discovery and real-world performance.
- 🔋 Battery Testing: Unique testing capabilities for a wide variety of cell formats, including pouch, cylindrical, and custom formats (e.g., shaped pouch cells). Testing can also be performed using our patented in-situ linear displacement device, which measures electrode thickness variations and gas generation.
These new capabilities allow us to extend the value of high-throughput discovery into pilot-scale validation, helping our partners move faster and with more confidence toward commercialization.
